Pastor


Our pastor, Rev. Basil B. Day, Jr., has been serving United Methodist Churches since 1983. Originally from Kemptown, Maryland, In 1982 Rev. Day received his Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude in Bible with honors in New Testament Greek from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. In 1988 He received his Master of Divinity Degree Magna Cum Laude from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.

His most important goal in serving the local church is to help Jesus' disciples to keep the grace of Jesus Christ in the forefront of all that the church does.

Rev. Day is married to Cindy Thomas Day, who is a special education teacher for Carroll County Public Schools.


Pastor's wife

Rev. Day has two sons. The oldest, Ethan at 16 years old, has a keen interest in all things scientific.

The youngest, 9 year-old Evan, is an on-the-go child who loves the outdoors.
